What’s new in 1.4?

In addition to all the essential features that the Classic Versions, version 1.3.7 and 1.3.8 includes, Listbingo 1.4 promises these new and exciting features for you classified site:

1. Guest posting: This feature will enable a user to post ads without having to register. In order to do that all he needs to do is provide a valid email address. A confirmation link and an activation link will be sent to that email address. Through this link, a user can publish and renew an ad

2. Ad posting in multiple categories: With the inclusion of this feature, users can post ad in multiple categories. For e.g. you can post an ad “House for sell” under Architecture and Real State and as well under Housing.

3. Multiple price categories: Unlike the previous version where the cost of posting an ad was irrespective of the category, we now have enabled the admin to set specific price rule for certain category. For instance for posting an ad in category “Pets” a user may be allowed to post an ad for free, while he may be charged (say $5) for a category “Vehicles”, (say $10) for a category “Real State”.

4. Editable regions: Earlier, users who post an ad were not allowed to edit the region once the ad was posted. The difficulty has been rectified.

5. Restricted IPs: To protect your website from fraud users and hackers, we have added the facility to block IPs. If you suspect any IP address to be fraud or of hackers, just restrict it from viewing your site by blocking that IP. Once blocked, that IP can never access the website.

6. Extra Field Search: Under each category, user can find the extra field related to that category. In this version we have added search field, user can search the item by using the field of extra category.

7. Ad primary Image: For your convenience, we have added drag and drop feature here. To make a particular image as primary image just hold the image and drag it to the front.

8. Ads renew option: With this option, a user who has posted an ad can renew their expired ad under the same category.

9. Country flag display: Display the flag of countries on country listing page.

10. Cancel issue for ad post solved: In the previous versions, users use to get the form to publish the ad all the time until they press the cancel button .We have solved this issue, now you don’t see this form if you leave it unfilled and visit the next page.

11. Added multiple regions display: Help your buyers locate your exact location by adding level of regions. For e.g. one can post his ad under region Queensland>Brisbane>Simpson road.

12. Secondary category assign from back end: Not only the user but also the administrator can now assign the ad to multiple categories. For e.g. if the ad was posted under Birds by the user, administrator can post the same ad under Animal services too.

13. ACL (user level access): The users are categorized into two levels, Registered Users and Guest Users. The register users have to login to add, delete, modify and renew the Ad and Guest users have to follow the link send to their respective email address to modify Ads.

14. JS to object: This will convert the JavaScript code to object oriented code. No unauthorized user can copy and paste our code and object oriented concept will make your code reusable.
